A group of people upon whom a government or sovereign has formally conferred honor for unusual service or merit, entitling them to wear a special insignia.

What is a Badge?

A device or emblem worn as an insignia of rank, office, or membership in an organization. In the Medieval and Renaissance periods, badges were worn as part of or in place of house livery.

Tudor Rose

The Tudor family is represented by the Tudor Rose. It is a rose which combines both the red rose of the House of Lancaster and the white rose of the House of York. The Tudor Rose symbolized the union between the two warring houses. The house of Tudor provided England with 118 years of stable rule through the reigns of Henry VII, Henry VIII, Edward VI, Mary I, and Elizabeth I.
